Mr. Arakelov’s career spans more than four decades of experience in the design of bridges and highway structures, including bridge management, bridge load rating, design, scoping and inspection. Levon was employed as an Engineer in MDOT’s Bridge Management Unit for four years and as an Engineer in MDOT’s Bridge Design Unit for 13 years. He was employed by the Virginia Department of Transportation as a Senior Bridge and Structure Engineer for four years. Most recently, he was employed as an Engineer of Streets by the City of Detroit, managing all City of Detroit Bridges as Team Leader for Bridge and Tunnel Inspection, Load Rating, Design, and Construction Project Manager on all bridge and structure related projects.
