Re-Engineering Services
NTH re-engineered the boat dock and fishing pier to eliminate divers and extensive underwater construction efforts, developing a design that was easier to build and able meet schedule restrictions. Overall, construction costs were reduced by $1,000,000 without compromising the original design intent.

Green Infrastructure
NTH, as part of the design-build team, assisted The City of Fairview Park, Ohio in administering an Ohio EPA Section 319 grant for a permeable pavement project at City Hall. NTH conceived overall system design elements including soils evaluation, pavement profile, gravel foundation layer and stormwater runoff storage reservoir. The design-build team worked interactively on a fast-track basis to complete the design and majority of construction in less than 12 weeks.

Public Dock & Terminal Rehabilitation
NTH developed this former industrial site along the Detroit River into the Detroit / Wayne County Port Authority’s $22 million state-of-the-art Public Dock & Terminal on the Detroit River. Despite numerous challenges to develop a deep-water port, extensive cooperation with adjacent property and utility owners, the City of Detroit, Wayne County, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy and other stakeholders made this project a success.
