NTH professionals are experienced with site investigations, property redevelopment,
soil remediation in difficult geophysical settings, and groundwater cleanup and venting
groundwater problems. We are adept at developing and implementing innovative
remediation alternatives, and in blending the remediation approach with the future site
Our project services range from Phase I and II Site Assessments through remedial
investigations, hydrogeologic studies, feasibility studies, and remediation systems
design, cleanup and redevelopment as well as regulatory compliance. Our efforts in
this area focus on helping private and public clients comply with the myriad of
regulations promulgated under RCRA, CERCLA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water
Act and their state counterparts.
NTH also has biologists and toxicologists who specialize in conducting risk
assessments to develop site-specific cleanup goals for contaminated soil and
groundwater, so that remediation can be tailored to the end use of the property.
Because NTH has geotechnical engineering and construction monitoring expertise, as
well as environmental engineering experience, we have the in-house capabilities to
design and construct the structures that are needed to implement remediation
components such as cutoff walls, capping systems and dewatering systems. Our
infrastructure and rehabilitation experts are adept at evaluating the condition of
existing structures and utility systems and adaptively reusing them for new purposes.
