Managing Costs While Maintaining Sound Facilities

Roof maintenance represents a significant element of a facility’s operational budget. NTH Consultants offers a full range of roofing technology services to manage and reduce these costs, including evaluations of existing roof systems; design of new roof systems; recommendations for maintenance, recovery, removal and replacement alternatives; and monitoring roof construction projects. Our professional engineers, registered roofing consultants, certified construction specifiers, and trained technicians are experienced with the diverse roof systems utilized in today's construction industry, and have provided quality roofing services for more than 20 years.

Roof Sampling and Analysis
NTH utilizes destructive and nondestructive testing and observation to obtain information about the condition and viability of the roof system. Our experienced staff assists in the identification of state and federally regulated materials, often found in older roof systems, and develop specifications for handling and disposal of this material prior to bidding repair or replacement work.

Evaluation/Condition Surveys
NTH conducts comprehensive roofing evaluations including detailed documentation of existing conditions through nondestructive moisture surveys, membrane coring, sampling, detail mapping, and visual observation. We provide fully documented survey results complete with effective recommendations for remedial treatments, including engineering cost estimates.

Design Specifications
NTH determines the type of remedial roof work most suitable for the building, gathers data necessary to develop comprehensive roof system designs, and prepares a detailed set of plans and specifications to facilitate competitive construction bidding.

Asset Management Program
NTH offers a roof management program that provides consistent inspection results, objective condition assessments, and accurate financial analysis. We utilize a roofing asset management program called ROOFER to inventory roofing systems, evaluate conditions, predict deterioration rates and generate multi-year maintenance/repair/replacement plans, which optimize the effectiveness of available dollars.

Quality Assurance/Quality Control
NTH provides comprehensive quality assurance/quality control monitoring of the roofing system’s design and construction. Our approach incorporates compliance with contract documents and delivery of a problem-free roof that provides full-time serviceability for our client.
