Ryan Caauwe, P.E. brings more than 20 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on power and utility infrastructure. As Division Director of Electrical Engineering at NTH Consultants, Ltd., Ryan leads the firm’s electrical engineering practice, expanding service capabilities and supporting projects across Michigan. He works closely with leadership and project teams to integrate electrical solutions into NTH’s broader services in geotechnical, civil, environmental, facilities, and utility engineering.
Ryan’s expertise includes substation design, protective relaying, power system studies, and the commissioning of substations and power plants. He has led large scale infrastructure projects supporting renewable energy developments, synchronous generation, solar generation, and utility system upgrades, bringing a strong understanding of both traditional and emerging energy systems.
Known for his collaborative leadership style and client focused approach, Ryan builds strong relationships while delivering high quality engineering solutions that support long term project success.
Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Michigan Technological University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan.
