Kevin B. Hoppe, P.E., is President and Chief Executive Officer of NTH. He joined the company in June 1983 as a Staff Engineer and was appointed CFO in November 1998.
Kevin served as Chairman of the Board from April 2006 through March 2012. He was appointed President and CEO in March 2012. Affiliated with ASFE for more than 22 years, Kevin has been involved in several committees, participated as a board member (from 1996 to 2001), was elected ASFE President in 2000, and named to the ASFE Council of Fellows in 2005. He chaired this committee from 2008 to 2011, and is currently an active member of the Council. Kevin has participated as both a team member and captain of ASFE Peer Reviews for more than 12 years; and is currently serving as Chair of ASFE’s Peer Review committee. He has also chaired committees for ACEC, ASCE and SMPS. Kevin received his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1981 and 1983, respectively; and his Master of Business Administration from Michigan State University in 1995. Keith M. Swaffar, P.E., is Executive Chairman of NTH. He joined the company in April 1979 as a Staff Engineer and was appointed as COO and Executive Vice President in 1999. Keith served as President from May 2003 through March 2012, and CEO from January 2005 through April 2012. He was appointed Executive Chairman in March 2012.
Keith has been active in several professional organizations, serving as President of MSPE from 2002 to 2003. He has been affiliated with ACEC – MI for more than 15 years, serving as a board member since 2006, and is President Elect for 2012 – 2013. He was awarded MSPE’s Outstanding Engineer in Private Practice in 2002. Keith received his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University in 1977 and 1979, respectively. Jeffrey P. Jaros is an Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He joined NTH in April 2005 as a Principal Scientist, was named a Senior Associate / Vice President in April 2008, and was appointed Senior Vice President in April 2012. He was promoted to his current position in 2017.
For more than 20 years, Jeff has provided environmental and meteorological expertise to clients, including air permits, local- and regional-scale emissions modeling, and regulatory strategies. His experience includes both Title V and non-Title V permits encompassing PSD, non-attainment NSR (NANSR), synthetic minor and minor source permits. He has performed dispersion and deposition modeling analysis ranging from local-scale source dispersion to regional scale meteorological and photochemical reactions. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from Pennsylvania State University in 1991, and his Master of Business Administration in Integrative Management from Michigan State University in 2000.
