Project Overview
NTH has been selected to provide roof replacement design services and full-time quality assurance supervision due to its expertise in identifying the root cause of existing roofing system issues and leakages. NTH services include a thorough assessment of the drainage system’s effectiveness and a detailed analysis of the existing materials to identify any hazardous substances. Additionally, NTH has produced Bid Specification documents outlining material specifications and quantities for the roofing system replacements at both the Department of Public Services Building and The Marquee of Redford Township sites.
Project Scope
The project encompassed the comprehensive development of detailed plans for the replacement of the roofs at the Department of Public Services Building and The Marquee of Redford Township sites. The combined area of the roofs to be replaced was estimated to be approximately 15,500 square feet. A meticulous investigation and assessment were undertaken to thoroughly understand the current conditions of the existing roof systems and to identify any potential concealed issues that could impact the performance of the new roofing systems. Additionally, an in-depth engineering analysis of the project data was performed to develop detailed technical specifications, roof plans, and drawings outlining the necessary restorative roofing work. The selection of roofing contractors was conducted using rigorous criteria to ensure not only timely completion and adherence to budget but also the attainment of high-quality standards.
In addition to these efforts, NTH attends pre-bid meetings, post-bid interviews, and final inspections to address any inquiries, verify the completeness and accuracy of bid proposals, and ensure the overall quality of the roofing work. This comprehensive approach will help to produce a high-quality replacement of the roof at the designated sites. Daily on-site quality assurance will be also be provided to document work activities and locations, as well as to ensure the satisfactory completion of all required work.
Client Benefit
NTH thoroughly investigated the current condition of the roof systems to pinpoint the root cause of the leakage issues and identify the primary sources of the problem. They inspected interior ceilings and building facades for watermarks and signs of leakage and then used engineering analysis to develop corrective actions based on their findings.
By conducting this comprehensive investigation and assessment, NTH was able to identify and address the root cause of the leakage issues. This proactive approach helps prevent further damage to the property and ensures that corrective actions are taken to preserve the integrity of the building. Additionally, it provides the owner with a clear understanding of the existing roof conditions and any necessary repairs or maintenance required, ultimately saving time and money in the long run.
