Site Acquisition & Redevelopment

Technical Support Services

NTH Consultants Ltd. assists site owners and developers with diverse efforts to prepare sites for acquisition or redevelopment. Our professionals perform qualitative and quantitative investigations of properties to evaluate environmental and geotechnical conditions – in fact, we perform more than 400 of these surveys for our clients each year!

Environmental Site Assessments
Understanding the importance of preliminary studies, we assemble data with the development’s future in mind. In addition to assisting developers with due diligence requirements for identifying potential environmental issues, environmental site assessments (ESAs) also serve as a preliminary glance at the site’s subsurface conditions in terms of geotechnical constraints.

NTH has completed ESAs for projects ranging from single parcels less than one acre in size to large scale property acquisition involving hundreds of parcels. NTH has performed over 30 ESAs for one national real estate company at locations stretching from California to Washington D.C., and from Michigan to Florida.

Geotechnical Engineering
Geotechnical Engineering, an NTH core competency, is literally the foundation of all constructed facilities. Competent geotechnical engineering mitigates the potential for project over-designs that result in increased costs and project under-designs that result in failures.

Our professionals understand the criticality and usefulness of accurate subsurface data. We collect subsurface data through test borings, test pits, observation wells, geophysics, and other procedures, and determine the relevant physical properties of the subsurface materials in our soil mechanics laboratory.
