Edberg will present a case history on the Oakland Macomb Interceptor Drain (OMID) rehabilitation program
On Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 10:00 am MST, Jason Edberg will present a case history on the Oakland Macomb Interceptor Drain (OMID) rehabilitation program which involved installing approximately 26,000 lineal feet of 10-foot diameter polymer mortar pipe in conditions never before encountered with this type of construction. Never before had this rehabilitation been performed at such a large diameter, at these extreme depths, and without the ability to bypass flow. This unprecedented scope of construction required complex flow control; innovative means, methods and equipment; and efficient operations in tight working windows. At the end of each work day, stored sewage flow was released to continue sanitary service to the more than 800,000 residents.

About the speaker: Jason R. Edberg, P.E. is the Vice President of Underground Engineering for NTH Consultants in Detroit, Michigan. He specializes in the design of heavy underground civil construction, including tunnels, shafts, and support of deep excavations for both owner and contractor clients throughout the United States. His expertise includes the investigation, rehabilitation, and asset management of aging underground infrastructure.
Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Masters of Business Administration from Wayne State University.
