From the beginning, NTH’s ESOP support has come from the top. NTH was founded in 1968 by Jerry Neyer, Benedict Tiseo, and Kal Hindo. They created a company that has become nationally recognized as a leader in Environmental Services, Facilities, and Geotechnical Engineering. When they began to plan retirement in the late 80s, they determined that, instead of selling the company, they would give employees the ability to own the company by becoming an ESOP corporation. The leadership, now in its second generation, continues to be outspoken supporters of the ESOP and the culture of ownership.
“For 30 years, NTH has been committed to ESOP, however it’s been in the past few years that we’ve truly embraced the ESOP culture,” said Jackie Roehl, CFO and ESOP Plan Administrator. “Thanks to our Ownership Communications Committee (OCC), spearheaded by Karyn Rekuc, this year in particular we have really hit our stride in helping our employee owners truly understand what ESOP means, and how we all play a part in our Company’s success.”
The OCC’s goal is supporting our employee owners’ overall wellbeing. By strengthening our committee this year, we were better able to plan events, monitor the effectiveness of our programs and streamline communication to our members. Our OCC committee and ESOP Trustees are truly committed to ESOP education and interaction, and to promoting the overall financial, physical and mental health and wellbeing of our employee owners.
